I'm on the right track, baby I was born this way

There is always these things like I want a boy who would sing to me, bet me kisses and let me win, buy me 25 cent rings. Blah Blah Blah. Give me a break, that is NOT what I want at all. If my boyfriend were just to sing songs to me, I’d be like “uhm what are you doing there?” And sure it might get frustrating to lose all the time, but you know what’d be more frustrating? TO HAVE SOMEONE LET YOU WIN. I’d rather lose than know the only reason I win is cause I’m your girlfriend. And also I’m 19! If anyone got me a ring fake or real at this point, I’d freak out. I mean I may be capable of being in a relationship, but that doesn’t mean I want to think about marriage. I’m 19, not 29! If you give me a ring, whether it be 25 cents or a promise ring, I’ll freak out on you, rings are not what I want now, plus if you keep getting me this 25 cent rings, what’s the point of that? Honestly what I want is to lay in bed and just laugh over stupid shit. Someone who makes me feel worth it and who I know I’m important to, but there don’t need to be any grand gestures. I want someone who may not serenade me, who might always win in games we play, and may not buy me crappy rings, but when it’s 4 am and I’m having a breakdown, he’ll pick up the phone and talk me through it.  That’s what matters, someone who loves you enough to be there, and also where’s the fun in being treated like a princess? Sure it’s fun once in awhile, but for your whole life, how annoying! I agree with one line, he should be your best friend, but would your best friend really do all that crap for you? Mine wouldn’t. Focus on the stuff that matters like being there when you need them, respecting you enough never to raise a hand to you or be verbally abusive, and the fact that they’d never let anyone else hurt you. That’s the stuff that matter, being treated like a princess fails in comparison.
